Communications informs, equips and inspires our bishops, clergy and lay leaders as they build communities of hope and compassion. From the website and social media to our Diocesan Newspaper, our Communications Department manages the Diocese’s public communications.
Areas of Diocesan Communications include:
• Advertising Campaigns; seasonal advertising of Christmas and Easter Services
• Crosstalk Newspaper
• Diocesan Website
• Media Relations
• Online Meeting Tools
• Social Media
• Visual Identity
Communications will only be approved as time and space allows, and will be filtered by priority and their relevance to the majority of the Diocese. Depending on available resources, not all requests can be granted.
All communication requests, along with supporting content, must be submitted a minimum of 48 hours ahead of requested Publishing Date.
(for Crosstalk, please review submission deadlines)
Missing items will cause delays in getting your content published.
The Diocesan advertising program helps parishes during the busiest seasons of the church year to reach the readers oflocal newspapers. We design, order, and place “tag” ads announcing season service times at participating parishes. The cost of this program is shared, and work for the parishes are kept to a minimum.
If you are interested in participating in the 2018 Christmas Ad Campaign, please contact Jane Waterston.
Crosstalk is the official newspaper of the Incorporated Synod of the Anglican Diocese of Ottawa; it is the voice of the Anglican church in the Ottawa Valley.
Publishes ten (10) times per year, Crosstalk keeps the Anglican community from Cornwall to Pembroke to Western Quebec up-to-date on Diocesan news. It is a well-read source of lively commentary, photos, mediations, and advertisements.
