St James the Apostle Perth, through Community Housing Initiative Perth (CHIP) has make significant progress with its project to create 15 units of affordable housing. The town has transferred land to Carebridge Community Support as the owner and operator of the residence. Lanark County has provided a $2.5 million forgivable loan. A fundraising campaign for $300,000 in under way. St James has made a $31,000 contribution. www.perthhousing.ca
