Our Dean

The Very Reverend Beth Bretzlaff

The Very Reverend Beth Bretzlaff holds the senior position of Dean of Ottawa and Rector of Christ Church Cathedral. In a historic milestone, she became the first woman to assume these roles in 2020. Prior to her appointment, Reverend Bretzlaff served as a dedicated parish priest within our diocese. Her diverse career path encompasses experiences as a publicist for a Canadian publisher and a youth justice social worker in New Zealand, adding unique perspectives to her ministry.
